The Sindh government has announced a significant initiative to upgrade 300 rabies treatment and prevention centers across the province as part of the Rabies Control Program Sindh (RCPS). According to ProPakistani, this decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Hyder Shah, who emphasized a 'comprehensive and proactive approach' to tackling rabies. The plan includes ensuring that rabies treatment facilities are available every 10 to 15 kilometers, with the centers being upgraded in phases to include improved facilities, standardized treatment protocols, and better service delivery. The government also plans to procure necessary medicines and vaccines to ensure timely treatment for patients, and staff will receive training to enhance their technical skills and clinical capacity.
