The Punjab Government has approved a new welfare initiative known as the Widow Support Card, aimed at providing financial relief to widows across the province. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Zakat Department to ease the financial burdens faced by widows. ProPakistani adds that the program also includes additional financial support for widows with children, with those having one child receiving an extra Rs25,000 and those with two children receiving an additional Rs50,000.
