Ptcl Reports Rs9.7 Billion Loss Amid Revenue Growth In Pakistan

As of February 25, 2026, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has reported a continued net loss of Rs9.7 billion for the fiscal year 2025, maintaining its loss streak despite a 12% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue, which reached PKR 120 billion. This revenue growth was bolstered by a remarkable 50% increase in its Flash Fiber service and a 16% rise in Business Solutions. Ufone, PTCL's mobile segment, also showed a positive trajectory with a 14% revenue growth and an impressive operating profit increase of 283%, although it still reported a net loss, which was significantly reduced by 89%. The losses were primarily attributed to accelerated expected credit loss provisioning at Ubank, following revisions to Prudential Regulations and the adoption of IFRS 9, which resulted in increased impairment allowances for expected credit losses (ECL).
