A recent report by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, in collaboration with the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN), has highlighted significant disparities in the educational performance of districts across Punjab, Pakistan. According to Pakistan Today, the report identifies Rahim Yar Khan as one of the poorest performing districts, ranking in the bottom three overall. This district, along with Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan, also reports some of the lowest literacy rates in the province. The findings underscore a pronounced divide between urban centers and underdeveloped areas, with Lahore showing notable progress and securing the fifth position among all districts due to its improved educational facilities and service availability, which have reached nearly 80 percent.
