Xiaomi Ev Deliveries Plummet To 20,000 In February 2026

In a significant downturn, Xiaomi's electric vehicle (EV) deliveries plummeted to just over 20,000 units in February 2026, a stark decline from more than 39,000 units in January. This drop was publicly announced via the company's official Weibo account, highlighting the challenges faced by the company as it navigates the competitive EV market. The decline in deliveries is attributed to the impact of the Chinese New Year holiday, which occurred from February 15-23, affecting both industrial production and vehicle deliveries. Xiaomi's founder and CEO, Lei Jun, noted that the majority of vehicles sold during this period were the all-electric SUV model YU7, which accounted for 97.10% of January's deliveries, totaling 37,869 units. This shift in focus comes as the company prepares for mass production of the next-generation Speed Ultra 7 (SU7) sedan, which is expected to launch in April 2026. According to CnEVPost, Xiaomi's EV unit had previously achieved a record of 50,212 deliveries in December 2025, marking a significant drop-off in the following months.
