In a significant development for Indian domestic cricket, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has confirmed that the Ranji Trophy final between Karnataka and Jammu & Kashmir will take place at the KSCA Hubballi Cricket Stadium, starting February 24, 2026. This decision comes as the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is undergoing safety enhancement works, rendering it unfit for hosting the match. KSCA spokesperson Vinay Mruthyunjaya emphasized that this move was made in coordination with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to ensure a better spectator experience. He stated, "This decision promises to nurture regional fan bases, spotlighting Hubballi as a crucial site for state cricket," highlighting the strategic intent behind the choice of venue.
