As Ramadan 2026 approaches, the weather forecast indicates generally pleasant conditions across Pakistan, which is a relief for millions of Muslims preparing for the holy month of fasting. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), temperatures are expected to remain below 30°C in cities like Lahore and Islamabad at the start of Ramadan, with some regions in southern Punjab and Sindh potentially reaching up to 35°C. Anjum Nazir Zaighum, a deputy director at PMD, stated, "The overall weather in the country is likely to be pleasant during Ramadan," which is crucial as fasting hours will last between 12 to 13 hours, increasing as the month progresses. The first day of fasting is expected to be February 19, following the sighting of the crescent moon on February 18, as confirmed by the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco).
