Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has been granted conditional bail by the Delhi High Court on February 16, 2026, allowing him temporary release from Tihar Jail in a long-standing cheque bounce case involving approximately Rs 9 crore. This decision came after Yadav deposited Rs 1.5 crore into the bank account of the complainant, Murali Projects Pvt Ltd, fulfilling a court condition. The actor sought this release to attend a family wedding on February 19, as confirmed by The Hindu. Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma noted that Yadav's imprisonment was due to his repeated violations of a previous settlement agreement, which ultimately led to his surrender earlier this month.
