In a significant initiative for Ramazan 2026, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a comprehensive relief package aimed at assisting over 4 million families during the holy month. The program includes the distribution of Ramazan Nigahban Cards, which allow families to withdraw up to Rs10,000 from over 9,200 ATMs across the province. As of now, 400,000 cards have already been distributed, with the remaining cards being delivered directly to families. "This is a month of mercy and compassion, celebrated with respect worldwide," emphasized Maryam Nawaz, urging all stakeholders to ensure affordable prices during Ramazan. Additionally, the Punjab government has launched 74 Sahulat Bazaars to provide essential food items at subsidized rates, with a 10-kilogram bag of flour priced at Rs850 and sugar at Rs140 per kilogram.
