Punjab Government Approves Rs. 1.14 Billion Vehicle Purchase For Officials

The Punjab government has confirmed its decision to procure 108 vehicles at a cost of Rs. 1.14 billion, aimed at ministers, security purposes, and official use, as reported by Profit Pakistan. This procurement includes 28 vehicles for the provincial cabinet valued at Rs. 300 million, featuring a mix of Japanese and Chinese-brand SUVs and cars. Additionally, two bulletproof four-by-four pickup trucks worth Rs. 40 million will be allocated for two ministers, and 25 vehicles for VIP security are set to cost Rs. 270 million. The plan also proposes vehicles worth Rs. 530 million for the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, which includes various models and types of vehicles. The procurement process is expected to begin after formal approval of these recommendations.
