The most recent development in Pakistan's housing sector is the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) initiative to incorporate layout plans of 1,026 housing societies into an online property system, as reported by Business Recorder on February 14, 2026. Director General NAB Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Waqar Ahmed Chauhan, highlighted that this is the first time such a system has been developed in Pakistan, and it is currently under technical review before public release.
