According to a report by Daily Qudrat, Punjab's Minister of Information and Culture, Uzma Bukhari, confirmed that 'وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے بسنت کے موقع پر کل ہونے والی تمام تقریبات منسوخ کر دی ہیں'. This decision comes in the wake of a national tragedy in Islamabad, prompting a show of solidarity across the nation. The cancellation includes the highly anticipated mega Basant show at Liberty Square, as highlighted by the Pakistan News Index, which quotes Maryam Nawaz stating, 'ہفتے کو ہونے والی بسنت کی تمام شیڈول تقریبات منسوخ کر دی جاتی ہیں'.
