The first attack on February 6 resulted in 36 fatalities and over 150 injuries at an imambargah, while a previous attack in November claimed 12 lives and injured more than 30 outside a district court. This directive comes after a high-level meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari and other senior officials to review the political and security landscape of the country. The meeting underscored the urgency of improving security measures in the capital, as well as fostering political reconciliation between major parties.
