The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) has successfully inducted a new tanker vessel, the M.T. Quetta, into its fleet, as reported by both Profit by Pakistan Today and ProPakistani. This addition is part of a broader strategic plan to expand the national shipping sector. According to Profit by Pakistan Today, the vessel has a deadweight tonnage of 49,999 DWT and was inducted through PNSC's subsidiary, Quetta Shipping (Pvt) Ltd. The announcement, made to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), follows an earlier disclosure on October 22, 2025, and aligns with the guidelines of the Securities Act of 2015 and PSX rules. This development is part of a federal government initiative to significantly enlarge PNSC's fleet and integrate the National Logistics Cell (NLC) into maritime operations, aiming to increase the number of operational vessels from 10 to 54 by 2030.
