Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced a significant increase in the Ramadan Relief Package for 2026, allocating a total of 38 billion Pakistani Rupees to assist 12.1 million families across the country. As reported by Pakistan News Index, each family will receive 13,000 Rupees, a substantial increase from the previous year's allocation of 5,000 Rupees per family. This initiative aims to provide 'dignified and transparent relief' to those in need, with funds being distributed directly through national banks, ensuring a seamless and efficient process. Shahbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of transparency, stating that a committee of ministers will oversee the implementation, and he will personally monitor the system.
