Pakistani Rupee Gains Against Us Dollar For 105 Days

As of February 24, 2026, the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) has achieved a remarkable milestone, closing in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 106th consecutive day, settling at 279.52 PKR per USD. This ongoing positive trend reflects a gain of Rs 0.03 against the dollar, highlighting the PKR's resilience amidst global economic pressures. The PKR also gained against other major currencies, including a slight appreciation of one paisa against the Saudi Riyal (SAR), which is currently trading at Rs 74.51 against the PKR. This sustained strength in the PKR is crucial for remittance-dependent families, as remittances from Saudi Arabia remain a vital income source, contributing $913.3 million in May 2025 alone, marking a 28.8% year-on-year increase from July 2024 to May 2025.
