In a significant counter-terrorism effort, Pakistan's security forces successfully neutralized 24 terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on February 4 and 5, 2026. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these operations targeted militants associated with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to as 'khawarij' by the state. The operations took place in the Orakzai and Khyber districts, where 14 terrorists were killed in Orakzai and 10 in Khyber, as reported by Dawn.
