The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) reported a 1.16% increase in prices, indicating that inflationary pressures were already building prior to the holy month. LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol stated, "The increase in prices of essential items is creating great difficulties for the public," and emphasized the need for government intervention to prevent further inflation during Ramadan.
