Reports indicate that the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) had allocated over Rs. 30 million for the team's expenses, including a cheque of Rs. 10.5 million issued on January 28 for hotel arrangements. However, upon arrival, players were left without proper accommodation, forced to wait up to 14 hours at Sydney Airport, and ultimately housed in substandard conditions far from the main venue. As described by ProPakistani, "the players were forced to stay in a remote cabin with bunk beds and basic facilities," highlighting the stark contrast between the funding provided and the actual conditions experienced by the team.
