In a recent development, Pakistan has reiterated its call for Afghanistan to take decisive action against terrorist groups like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) operating from its soil. As reported by Pakistan Today, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi highlighted a United Nations Security Council report that supports Pakistan's claims of Afghanistan providing a 'permissive environment' for such groups. Andrabi stated, 'Diplomacy continues even in wars. Diplomacy continues even during skirmishes,' emphasizing Pakistan's commitment to peaceful resolutions despite rising tensions. He also mentioned that Pakistan would engage with the UN and other stakeholders to address these security concerns. Furthermore, Andrabi criticized India's response to recent terrorist incidents, suggesting an 'undertone of justification of terrorism,' and called for international scrutiny over India's treatment of Muslims, citing 55 lynchings last year.
