Pakistan has recently made significant advancements in its energy sector with the discovery of 40 new oil and gas reserves under the current federal coalition government. According to Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, as reported by both TechJuice and ProPakistani, 18 of these reserves are already operational. This development is seen as a major boost to the country's energy security. Malik informed the National Assembly that these operational reserves have contributed to a substantial increase in domestic energy supply, with natural gas production reaching 61 million cubic feet per day and oil production at 1,553 barrels daily by December 2025.
