Pakistan Condemns Attacks Against Iran At Un Security Council

On March 1, 2026, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, condemned the 'unwarranted attacks' against Iran during an emergency UN Security Council meeting, emphasizing that such actions violate international law and undermine regional peace. He stated, "These military actions undermine dialogue and further erode trust that was already in short supply," highlighting the detrimental impact on ongoing diplomatic efforts. Pakistan also expressed solidarity with Gulf nations, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE, condemning attacks against them as 'blatant violations of sovereignty.' Ahmad noted the importance of dialogue, praising Oman for its role in mediating discussions between Iran and the United States, and urged all parties to halt escalation immediately.
