On February 17, 2026, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) signed a significant contract with French company SNF S.A. for the installation of advanced Water Injection Systems (WIS) at its Kunnar and Pasakhi oil fields in Sindh, Pakistan. This collaboration is projected to enhance oil production by approximately 9 million barrels and gas production by 3 billion cubic feet, generating an estimated additional revenue of USD 460 million over the fields' operational life. The initiative aims to improve the recovery factor by 8-10%, crucial for maximizing resource extraction from existing reservoirs.
