On February 16, 2026, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) announced a significant enhancement in oil production at its Kal-03 well in Chakwal, Punjab, increasing output from 50 barrels per day (BPD) to 750 BPD, marking a remarkable 1,400% increase. This surge was achieved through a successful workover operation that included Multistage Physico-Chemical (MPC) treatment and the installation of an electric submersible pump (ESP). According to the company, this enhancement is part of its ongoing production optimization program aimed at sustaining and improving output from mature fields. OGDCL stated, "These measures have increased production at Pasakhi Well-7 from 375 BPD to 520 BPD, an increment of 145 BPD," highlighting their commitment to enhancing production across various sites (Business Recorder).
