In a significant advancement for Pakistan's energy sector, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced a new discovery of oil and gas in the Nashpa Block, located in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Brazi X-1 well is expected to produce approximately 225 barrels of oil per day and 1 million cubic feet of gas daily. OGDCL's spokesperson emphasized that this discovery is crucial for meeting the country's energy needs, stating, "This new find will help fulfill the energy requirements of the nation." Additionally, OGDCL has reported a substantial new find in Tando Allahyar, Sindh, where the Dars West-3 well is projected to yield around 9.7 million cubic feet of gas per day and 580 barrels of condensate, further enhancing the national gas supply network after processing through the Sui Northern system.
