The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) recently received recognition at the Asia Pacific Shelter Settlements Forum Pakistan (APSSFP) 2026, held in Karachi. This event, organized by the Sindh Peoples Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF), aimed to advance housing reconstruction efforts following the devastating floods of 2022. Mr. Mahmood Akhtar Nadeem and Mr. Muhammad Ayyub from NBP were honored with an award presented by the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, on behalf of NBP's President, Mr. Rehmat Ali Hasnie. The forum attracted over 160 international delegates and 400 national participants, highlighting the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, including multilateral partners like the World Bank, ADB, and IsDB, to address housing needs in the region. NBP showcased its Retail Banking products at the event, emphasizing its commitment to housing and financial inclusion initiatives.
