This development has left passengers frustrated, as they continue to attempt accessing the service by scanning QR codes displayed around the station, only to find the service inactive. The private company responsible for providing the internet service has reportedly dismantled its equipment from the station premises, leaving only empty fixtures and signboards advertising 'Free Wi-Fi.' According to Tribune Latest, the initiative was initially launched under the direction of Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi to enhance passenger convenience at major stations, including Lahore and Karachi.
