The Lahore Qalandars have made headlines by signing Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman for over Rs60 million for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). This marks Mustafizur's third stint with the Qalandars, having previously played for them in 2016 and 2018. According to Dawn, the Qalandars announced the signing on their X account, stating, 'Our Bangladeshi brother, Mustafizur, picked in 2016 and 2018, is now our direct signing and finally back with the family. Once a Qalandar, always a Qalandar.' The signing comes after Mustafizur was released from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) squad for the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he was acquired for INR 9.20 crore. The decision for his release was influenced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) amid strained relations between India and Bangladesh.
