According to Daily The Patriot, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, emphasized the provision of modern technology and weapons to the police to eradicate terrorism in the province. Afridi criticized past decisions made 'in closed rooms' that led to provincial losses and highlighted the recruitment in the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and enhancement of the Special Branch's capacity. He refuted claims that anti-drone technology had fallen into terrorist hands, asserting, 'an attempt was made on social media to give the impression that this technology had reached terrorists, which is completely wrong.'
