The water crisis in Karachi has seen a significant development as the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) announced the completion of repair work on a major 84-inch diameter pipeline in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 19, ahead of schedule. According to ARY News, the repair work, initially planned for 96 hours, was completed 48 hours early, allowing water supply from the Dhabeji pumping station to resume. A KWSC spokesperson stated, 'The maintenance work on the city’s main line had been successfully finalised, allowing supply from the Dhabeji pumping station to be restored.' This early completion was achieved by teams working around the clock, and the KWSC has apologized for the inconvenience caused during the disruption.
