In a significant counter-terrorism operation, the Sindh Rangers and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested three alleged facilitators linked to the extremist group Fitna-e-Hindustan in Karachi's Korangi area on February 16, 2026. The operation, based on intelligence, led to the recovery of 5 kilograms of explosive material, 10 meters of prima cord, three detonators, and 1 kilogram of ball bearings, along with 250 books of extremist literature and a laptop. A spokesperson for the Rangers stated, "These individuals were involved in radicalizing students from various colleges and universities and were preparing for terrorist activities targeting sensitive areas in Karachi."
