Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, highlighted that '80 per cent of children in the city have been fully vaccinated.' This effort targets 2.1 million children under the age of five, with 1.132 million children scheduled to receive polio drops over a three-day period. The campaign's success is underscored by the environmental analysis survey results, which, for the first time in three years, showed three negative samples in the city's eastern and western districts, although six samples returned positive. The administration and health departments are actively ensuring no child is left unvaccinated, following a detailed micro plan to combat polio effectively.
