According to Qaumi Awaz Stories, Mishra was apprehended near his residence on 6 Banglia Road by a team from the Gwaltoli police station after being on the run for approximately 90 hours. The incident occurred between February 8 and 9, 2026, when a speeding Lamborghini lost control on VIP Road, colliding with an e-rickshaw, a motorcyclist, and a pedestrian, injuring at least six people. The car is linked to the prominent Banshidhar Tobacco Group, with Mishra being a director. However, Mishra claims the vehicle was driven by a driver named Mohan Lal. Videos from the scene show bouncers attempting to remove the car's license plate, raising questions about identity concealment.
