On February 19, 2026, Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with the 54 Rashtriya Rifles, arrested Sachin Kumar, alias Pamma, in a forward village in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district. Kumar, a resident of Sair village near the Line of Control, is believed to have direct links to Pakistan-based narco-terror operatives. During the operation, authorities seized two foreign-made pistols—one manufactured in Turkiye and another in China—along with four magazines and 15 rounds of ammunition. Preliminary investigations indicate that Kumar had received a consignment from across the border and was tasked with delivering it to another individual when he was intercepted based on specific intelligence provided by police. A case has been registered against him, and further investigations are ongoing to uncover the intended recipient of the weapons and details of the cross-border network.
