On February 16, 2026, the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) officially commenced development work in Sectors F-14 and F-15 in Islamabad, marking a significant milestone in a project that has been in the pipeline since 2015. Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony, emphasizing the government's commitment to fulfilling housing promises. "The formal commencement of development works in Sectors F-14 and F-15 reflects this commitment," he stated. The project, which encompasses approximately 10,875 kanals, is expected to provide 6,800 residential plots, with a total development cost of around Rs28.2 billion, including a contract of Rs19.58 billion awarded to the National Logistics Corporation (NLC). Director General of FGEHA, Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, highlighted that this initiative fulfills the hopes of approximately 11,000 families who have been waiting for a decade for their housing needs to be addressed. He noted, "Today marks the addition of a golden chapter in the history of the institution."
