Islamabad is poised to experience significant infrastructural development with the revival of the 10th Avenue project and the initiation of the 11th Avenue construction. According to ProPakistani, these developments are in response to the anticipated traffic surge following the completion of a new road linking Margalla Road with Motorway M-1, which will eventually connect to the Rawalpindi Ring Road. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is in the process of finalizing the tender for this Margalla Road–M-1 link. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa highlighted the necessity of these projects, stating that 'completing missing links under the city’s master plan would significantly improve traffic flow across Islamabad.' This proactive approach aims to alleviate congestion by providing alternative routes for the increased traffic expected from Margalla Avenue, Srinagar Highway, and other connecting roads.
