In a significant political shift, key political figures from Gilgit-Baltistan have joined the Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP), marking a substantial development in the region's political landscape. As reported by Pakistan News Index, former Governor Raja Jalala, former Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan, and several other prominent leaders including Captain (R) Shafi, Fatahullah Khan, and Haji Shah Baig have aligned themselves with the IPP. The party's president, Abdul Aleem Khan, welcomed these leaders, emphasizing that 'the IPP's primary manifesto is development, prosperity, and employment.'
