Five Children Die From Contaminated Water In Ghotki, Pakistan

In a tragic incident in Ghotki district, five children have died after consuming contaminated water from discarded pesticide bottles. The most recent victim, four-year-old Muhammad Khan, passed away in a local hospital on Thursday, following the deaths of three brothers—Waqar Ahmed (10), Ayaz Ahmed (9), and Allaudin (7)—and their cousin Waseem (5) over the past few days. According to the Tribune Latest, these children had been using the empty pesticide containers for drinking water after returning from school in the village of Arif Chajjar. The unsafe disposal of such hazardous materials has raised alarms about public safety in rural areas, with local residents expressing frustration over the lack of regulatory mechanisms to manage these toxic substances.
