Ehtisham Jadoon Creates Optimus Prime Sculpture From Scrap Metal In Islamabad

Pakistani sculptor Ehtisham Jadoon continues to captivate audiences with his colossal metal artworks, most notably a recently completed 14-foot (4-meter) sculpture of Optimus Prime, which stands as his largest creation to date. Jadoon, who transforms discarded car parts into massive sculptures, emphasizes his fascination with metal objects, stating, "When I see metals in scrap, I imagine forms in which they could be utilized." His workshop is filled with various components sourced from scrapyards, with over 90 percent of the materials used in his sculptures coming from these discarded items. The intricate details of Optimus Prime, including arms crafted from motorbike springs and eyes designed from vehicle bearings, showcase Jadoon's innovative approach to recycling and artistry.
