Ecp Suspends Ali Hassan Zehri'S Victory Notification In Balochistan

In a dramatic turn of events, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has once again suspended the victory notification of Ali Hassan Zehri from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for the Balochistan Assembly constituency PB-21 (Hub). This decision, announced on February 27, 2026, comes just a day after the ECP reinstated Zehri as the winner following a recount that significantly altered the vote tally. The recount had initially shown Zehri's votes increasing from 14,120 to 23,974, while those of Muhammad Saleh Bhootani from the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) plummeted from 30,910 to 17,403.
