In a timely move ahead of Ramadan, the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has officially increased cash support for its beneficiaries, raising the quarterly stipend under the Benazir Kafalat Programme from Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 14,500, effective from the first of Ramadan. This Rs. 1,000 increase was announced during a live e-Katcheri session led by BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid, who emphasized the importance of this financial assistance during the holy month, stating, "Ramazan is a month of blessings, patience, and compassion, and in line with this spirit, BISP is extending maximum possible relief to deserving families." Additionally, stipends for the Benazir Educational Scholarships and the Benazir Nashonuma Programme will also see a Rs. 500 increase, bringing the total to Rs. 3,000 for primary-level students and Rs. 3,800 for secondary-level students.
