The suburban area of Bakot in Abbottabad is currently facing a significant threat from wild boar attacks, which have intensified over the past week. According to a report by Tribune Latest, these incidents have resulted in the destruction of livestock across multiple households, with residents accusing the Wildlife Department of 'criminal negligence.' Specific cases include the house of Saeed Rafiq Abbasi, where a valuable goat was killed, and similar attacks at the homes of Rizwan Abbasi, Tabassum Abbasi, Mushtaq Abbasi, Irfan Abbasi, and Darvesh Abbasi, resulting in the loss of chickens and goats. The residents have highlighted that these wild boars are a more aggressive breed, capable of surviving harsh weather conditions and posing a 'serious threat to human life,' particularly to school-going children and the elderly. They are demanding immediate action from the district administration, including compensation for their losses and measures to eliminate the threat.
