In a recent attack on February 11, 2026, the residence of Nawabzada Waheeduddin Khan, a local leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was targeted by unidentified assailants in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to reports from Dawn and Daily Times, the attack occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the Haji Lawang area on the outskirts of Khar tehsil. The assailants reportedly used hand grenades, causing damage to the main gate of the residence. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as Waheed was not at home during the attack, being in Peshawar at the time. Police have launched an investigation to determine the motive and identify the attackers, but no group has claimed responsibility yet.
