On February 25, 2026, the controversy surrounding the security detail of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur intensified as he claimed that his security personnel were ordered to stand down by a deputy chief security officer (CSO) of the provincial government. Gandapur stated, "At 11 PM, the deputy CSO called my security personnel and said that the CSO's order was to close down all security.
