In a significant development, 10-year-old Aina Wazir from Shewa village in North Waziristan has been officially selected to participate in the upcoming Zalmi Women League, as announced by Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi. This decision follows the viral success of her bowling and batting videos, which showcased her impressive skills during a local street cricket match. Afridi emphasized the need for such talent to have the right platform, stating, "Talent like this deserves the right platform," and assured that Aina would receive all necessary cricket gear and training facilities to help her thrive. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also expressed his support, highlighting the potential of young athletes in the region and the importance of providing them with opportunities to succeed.
